The GSMA announced this week nominees for the Global Mobile (GLOMO) Awards, and winners will be announced in a virtual ceremony at MWC22 on 2 March 2022 co-hosted by Sasha Twining and Justin Springham
“The GLOMOs provide a key platform to celebrate some of the coolest developments in our ecosystem. The individuals and companies nominated are solving big problems and revolutionising how we see and use technology.” said John Hoffman, CEO of GSMA. “As the most prestigious accolade in the mobile industry, the awards attract outstanding entries so, being nominated is extraordinary. We wish everyone the best of luck and look forward to the awards presentation at MWC22 Barcelona.”
The GLOMOs include seven categories;
• Mobile Tech
• Industry X
• Device
• Tech4Good
• Government Leadership Award
• Outstanding Achievement
• 4YFN
Winners for each of “Mobile Technology”, “Industry X”, “Device”, “Tech 4 Good”, “Government Leadership” and “Outstanding Achievement” will be awarded at the ceremony. Five nominees for the “4YFN Startup of the Year Award 2022” will be invited to pitch their business idea to a live audience and an expert judging panel at 16:30 Wednesday 2 March, on the 4YFN Main Stage.
The awards, chaired by Shaun Collins, Executive Chairman of CCS Insight, are adjudicated by over 200 independent industry experts, analysts, journalists, academics, mobile operator representatives, and CTOs.
