The FTTH Council Europe is delighted to announce that the FTTH Congress CEE 2025 will take place on 7-8 October at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Warsaw, Poland, and registration is now officially open

Following the enthusiastic response to its first regional congress in South-Eastern Europe last year, the FTTH Council Europe is now expanding its regional footprint with an event dedicated to FTTH drivers and hurdles in Central Eastern Europe. The FTTH Congress CEE 2025 will bring together over 400 key players from across the public and private sectors, all united by a shared ambition: to accelerate full-fibre connectivity in one of Europe’s most dynamic regions.
With over 13 million homes still to be passed in countries like Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Ukraine, and the Baltics, the region stands at a critical juncture. The FTTH Congress CEE aims to support this transition by fostering dialogue, sharing insights, and building partnerships that move the needle.
“Central Eastern Europe has all the ingredients for a fibre success story,” said Vincent Garnier, Director General of the FTTH Council Europe. “There’s momentum on the ground, strong national plans, growing investment appetite, and user demand. But challenges remain, and this Congress is our opportunity to address them together.”
The two-day programme will feature a mix of policy keynotes, technical deep-dives, and market-focused panels, including sessions dedicated to individual countries and themes such as resilient infrastructure, open access models, and inclusive digital growth. Attendees will gain firsthand insight into funding, policy and technical innovations shaping fibre connectivity in the region.

Among this year’s confirmed speakers are senior leaders and regulators from across the region and beyond:

• Verena Weber, Director, BEREC
• Jacek Oko, President, Urzędu Komunikacji Elektronicznej (UKE)
• Marco Obiso, Chief Digital Networks & Environment Department, Telecommunication Development Bureau, ITU
• Ervín Šimko, Acting Director General for Digital Agenda, Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatics (MIRRI)
• Yuriy Kurmaz, CEO, JSC Ukrtelecom
• Marta Wojciechowska, CEO, Fiberhost S.A.
• Jana Hays, Manager regulatory affairs Czech Republic / Head of CETIN Group regulatory affairs, CETIN
• Paula Harrison, Director for Government Security & Regulation, Vodafone Group

From decision-makers and digital champions to investors and city planners, the event will offer a chance to connect, collaborate, and contribute to building the fibre-powered future of Central Eastern Europe.
