The FTTH Council Europe announces its rebrand as Fibre Council Europe, opening a new chapter after more than 20 years at the forefront of fibre deployment in Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n

The rebranding reflects an evolution rather than a revolution. The Council’s values remain unchanged, while its mission expands: moving beyond fibre to the home to the full fibre ecosystem, encompassing fixed connectivity, the fibre infrastructure that powers mobile networks, data centres, and the digital services on which citizens, businesses and public institutions depend.
\nThe rebrand is accompanied by a new visual identity and the tagline \u00abPowering Europe’s digital future\u00bb, expressing the Council’s ambition to ensure that world-class fibre infrastructure reaches everyone in Europe.
\n\u00abOur new name recognises what our members have known for years: fibre is the essential infrastructure of the present and the future-proof foundation of what comes next, with the potential to evolve to ever-higher speeds. As Fibre Council Europe, we will continue to bring together the entire fibre community to accelerate deployment, drive take-up and ensure Europe’s digital competitiveness. Our mission expands, and our name now matches its full scope\u00bb Stefano Fogli, President of Fibre Council Europe, said.
\nWhile as addressed by Vincent Garnier, Director General of Fibre Council Europe: \u00abThis is an evolution, not a departure. Everything our members and partners value about the Council – our advocacy, our research, our community – carries forward under the new name and the expanded scope. What changes is that our identity now reflects the breadth of the fibre ecosystem we represent.\u00bb<\/p>\n

The Fibre Council\u2019s Europe flagship event: Fibre Horizons<\/strong>
\nAs part of the rebranding, the Council’s annual flagship Conference \u2014 Europe’s largest gathering of the fibre community \u2014 will be renamed Fibre Horizons, reflecting both the expanded scope of the event’s content and the wider network of people it brings together. The next edition will take place on 17-18 March at Allianz MiCo, Milan, bringing together operators, vendors, investors and policymakers from across the global fibre industry.<\/p>\n

What changes for members and partners<\/strong>
\nThe Council’s governance, membership and activities continue unchanged, while its mission expands: as part of the wider scope, the Council’s practices and workstreams will evolve, and new ones will arise in areas such as data centres and the HFC to FTTH transition. The transition to the new brand will be phased over the coming weeks, during which the previous branding, email addresses and web addresses will remain in use alongside the new identity.<\/p>\n
