Following consultation with multiple stakeholders, we have reached the conclusion that the probability of being able to organise a physical conference in September and offer a successful business outcome for our delegates and sponsors, is extremely low<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>By the FTTH Conference<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Even if some conference restrictions were to be lifted by September, the international nature of our event and likely social distancing measures that would be in place, mean there would be great risk that many visitors would not travel, considerably limiting the commercial potential of the event.<br \/>\nTherefore, we conclude it impossible to hold the physical event as planned and have decided to run a Virtual Conference on the earlier dates of 15-16 September 2021.<br \/>\nWe will target our next physical FTTH Conference 2022 for 29-31 March 2022 in Vienna.<br \/>\nWe are postponing the physical FTTH Conference planned for Berlin to 19-21 March 2024.<br \/>\nWe are happy to announce that the majority of our partners support this decision and will contribute to the success of the FTTH Virtual Conference 2021.<br \/>\nWe are confident that we will build on the success of our last December\u2019s FTTH Virtual Conference 2020 and that we will deliver an even greater online event next September.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><em>Above, Eric Festraets, president FTTH Council Europe \/ Image credited to the FTTH Council Europe<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With just over five months to go to the planned FTTH Conference 2021 in Berlin, it remains unclear when, and in what form, large international conferences and exhibitions will be permitted to run.
