Following its successful launch earlier this year, the three partners VDMA, ZVEI and Deutsche Messe are bringing back the \u201c5G and Industrial Wireless Arena\u201d at HANNOVER MESSE 2024. VDMA is represented by Wireless Communications for Machines (AGWCM), while ZVEI is represented by 5G ACIA, and Deutsche Messe is contributing its \u20185G Smart Venue\u2019 campus network to the project<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the previous event, some 60 exhibitors, including well-known firms like Siemens, Rohde&Schwarz, HUAWEI, Qualcomm, Ericsson, Weidm\u00fcller and Pepperl&Fuchs, showcased the latest status and growth opportunities of industrial wireless systems as well as exciting 5G applications. The central focus of the 5G and Industrial Wireless Arena was the forum, where, among other things, the wide range of possible applications in industry and the prospects for the 6G network were discussed.
\n\u201cThe success of the \u20185G and Industrial Wireless Arena 2023\u2019 underlined the relevance of wireless connectivity for a digital and sustainable industry. The Arena is thus the central forum for cross-industry dialogue and a driver of future developments. In 2024, we want to continue to build bridges between the entire wireless ecosystem and industry, as well as presenting innovative solutions and helping shape the future of wireless technologies together with our attendees,\u201d remarks Dr. Miriam Solera, Managing Director of VDMA Wireless Communications for Machines.
\nGunther Koschnick, ZVEI division manager for industry, says: \u201cOver the past five years, the ZVEI working group 5G-ACIA (5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation) has made a major contribution to ensuring that 5G is also designed for industrial use right from the start. The 5G and Industrial Wireless Arena at HANNOVER MESSE offers a unique combination of live technology demonstrations, expert presentations and face-to-face networking with companies from the 5G ecosystem to promote the upcoming market ramp-up. We are very excited to continue and expand this successful joint show together with our partners.\u201d
\nFor HANNOVER MESSE 2024, Deutsche Messe expects a significant increase in the number of exhibitors at the 5G and Industrial Wireless Arena. \u201cIn addition to our two association partners, we also have firm commitments from Siemens, HMS and Fraunhofer HHI. Next year we\u2019ll be offering exhibitors significantly more space on which to present their mobile robots and vehicles via our 5G Campus network,\u201d reports Markus Eibach, Head of Smart Venue and Technology Innovations at Deutsche Messe.<\/p>\n

The next edition of the event runs in Hannover, Germany, from 22 to 26 April 2024.<\/p>\n
